Tree removal — surgical, not destructive.

Sometimes the tree has to come down. A diseased trunk over the roof. A dead pine after the storm. A protected oak with a permit. We rig, we lower, we cut. We don't drop. The fence stays up. The roses survive.

Trimming & pruning done to ANSI A300.

There's pruning that helps a tree and pruning that hurts it. We do the kind that helps. Crown cleaning, structural pruning on young trees, end-weight reduction on mature oaks, and the hurricane-season thinning that lets the wind pass through your canopy instead of breaking it.

Saving the tree, not just cutting it.

Most calls we get about a "sick tree" turn into a treatment plan, not a removal quote. Deep-root fertilization, soil decompaction, fungal treatments for oak wilt and root rot, scale and aphid management. Mature live oaks are worth saving — usually they can be.

Cabling & bracing — when removal is the wrong answer.

A 200-year-old live oak with split codominant leaders is not a removal job. It's a hardware job. Steel cables in the upper canopy, threaded rods through weak unions, installed to ANSI A300 Part 3 standards. Done right, the tree keeps standing for decades.

06 · Stump grinding

Stump grinding — 6 to 12 inches below grade.

After the tree comes down, the stump goes too. We grind 6–12 inches below grade depending on what's going in afterward (sod, new tree, hardscape). Surface roots out. Mulch hauled or left on site — your call.
